Academic Honesty Policy:

At Princeton Institute, we believe that academic honesty is fundamental to maintaining a fair and respectful learning environment. We expect all students to adhere to the highest standards of integrity and honesty in all academic work.

  1. Definition of Academic Dishonesty: Academic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, cheating, falsification of data, unauthorized collaboration, and other forms of academic misconduct.
  2. Plagiarism: Plagiarism is defined as using someone else’s work, ideas, or words without proper attribution. Students must acknowledge all sources of information in their work, including direct quotes, paraphrases, and summaries. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  3. Cheating: Cheating includes, but is not limited to, copying from another student’s work, using unauthorized materials during a test or exam, or communicating with others during an exam. Cheating may result in disciplinary action, including a failing grade and/or suspension.
  4. Falsification of Data: Falsification of data includes, but is not limited to, fabricating or altering data, results, or sources. Students must ensure that all data and results are accurate and truthful, and that all sources are properly cited. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  5. Unauthorized Collaboration: Unauthorized collaboration includes, but is not limited to, working with others without permission or outside the scope of an assigned project or assignment. Students must complete all work independently, unless otherwise instructed by their teacher. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  6. Reporting Academic Dishonesty: Students and teachers are encouraged to report any incidents of academic dishonesty to the school administration. The school administration will investigate all reports of academic dishonesty and take appropriate disciplinary action.

By implementing this academic honesty policy, we aim to promote a culture of integrity and respect in our academic community. We believe that this policy will help prepare our students for academic and professional success by instilling in them the values of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
